Shipping and Returns
This Shipping and Returns policy (Policy) explains how Flip Screen Studio (a trading name of November Rain Co Pty Ltd, ABN 80 696 014 954) (we, us, our) delivers the camera kit to you (you, your), how you return it, and what happens if something goes wrong in transit.
This Policy works alongside our Terms of Service, Rental Agreement, and Privacy Policy. In the event of inconsistency, the Terms of Service prevail in respect of cancellations and refunds, and the Rental Agreement prevails in respect of the kit itself.
By making a Booking, you agree to this Policy.
1. Where We Ship
We ship Australia-wide via Australia Post tracked, signed delivery.
Destination weddings outside Australia are available on request. International shipping is arranged on a case-by-case basis and is subject to additional terms set out in clause 8.
2. How We Ship
Outbound. We dispatch the kit via Australia Post Express Post with tracking and signature on delivery. Standard transit times:
- Metropolitan Australia: 1 to 3 business days
- Regional Australia: 3 to 5 business days
- Remote Australia: 5 to 10 business days
Return. A pre-paid Australia Post Express Post return satchel is included with your kit. You return the kit by lodging the satchel at any Australia Post office on or before the end of your Rental Period.
We track every outbound and return shipment. Tracking numbers are provided by email when the kit ships.
3. When the Kit Arrives
We dispatch the kit to arrive on or before the start date of your Rental Period. Our standard practice is to dispatch with the aim of arriving 1 to 2 business days before your Event as a buffer against delivery delays.
Signature required. Australia Post requires a signature on delivery. You or someone you authorise must be available at the shipping address to accept and sign for the kit. If no one is available, Australia Post will leave a card and the kit can be collected from your local post office (usually within 7 to 10 business days).
Re-delivery and uncollected parcels. If the kit cannot be delivered and you do not collect it from the post office within Australia Post's holding period, the kit will be returned to us. In that case:
- We will contact you to arrange re-delivery at our cost where possible
- Where re-delivery is not possible before your Event, the cancellation provisions in our Terms of Service apply
Address changes. If you need to change your shipping address, contact us at luke@flipscreenstudio.com at least 7 days before the dispatch date. Address changes within 7 days of dispatch may not be possible.
4. When Your Film Is Delivered
Your edited film and raw footage are delivered digitally through a private film page on our Site.
Delivery time. Your film will be delivered within 2 to 3 weeks of our receipt of the returned kit at the studio. Delivery times may extend during peak wedding season (October to April), and we will keep you informed of any significant delay.
You will receive an email with a link to your private film page when your film is ready.
Full details of what is included in delivery are set out in our Terms of Service and the product page applicable to your Booking.
5. Risk and Title
Outbound shipping. Risk in the kit transfers to you when the kit is delivered to the shipping address you provided (or on first attempted delivery as recorded by Australia Post). Until that point, risk remains with us, and we are responsible for any loss or damage caused in transit by Australia Post.
Return shipping. When you lodge the kit at an Australia Post office for return, risk transfers back to us at the point of lodgement (evidenced by Australia Post lodgement receipt). Please retain your lodgement receipt until your film has been delivered.
Title. Title to and ownership of the kit remains with us at all times, as set out in clause 2 of the Rental Agreement.
6. Damaged Shipments
If your kit arrives damaged or with missing components:
- Do not use the kit
- Contact us immediately at luke@flipscreenstudio.com with photographs of the damage and the packaging
- Retain the original packaging until we have responded
We will arrange a replacement kit at no cost to you, subject to time available before your Event. Where a replacement cannot reach you in time, we will work with you in good faith to identify the best outcome, which may include:
- A partial refund proportional to the impact
- Rescheduling your Event to a future date (subject to availability)
- A full refund of amounts paid, in accordance with the cancellation provisions of our Terms of Service
7. Lost Shipments
If your kit does not arrive on the expected delivery date, contact us as soon as possible at luke@flipscreenstudio.com.
We will track the shipment and work with Australia Post to locate the package. Where the kit is confirmed lost in transit, we will dispatch a replacement at no cost to you, subject to availability and time before your Event.
Where a replacement cannot reach you in time and the loss was caused by Australia Post or by us, the remedies set out in clause 6 apply.
8. International (Destination) Shipping
International shipping is available on a case-by-case basis. The following additional terms apply:
- Please contact us at least 8 weeks before your Event to arrange international shipping
- Additional shipping costs, customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees may apply, and are your responsibility
- You are responsible for any local laws relating to the import or use of the kit in your destination country
- Return shipping from overseas is at your cost and is your responsibility to arrange in accordance with our shipping instructions
- We are not liable for delays, seizures, or losses caused by customs authorities, foreign postal services, or other third parties outside Australia
- You agree to comply with any quoted timelines for return; failure to return the kit promptly may incur additional fees in accordance with the Rental Agreement
We will provide a written quote and additional terms for international shipping before confirming your Booking.
9. Delivery Delays Caused by Third Parties or Events Beyond Our Control
We are not liable for shipping delays caused by Australia Post, third-party couriers, natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, postal strikes, fire, flood, or other events reasonably beyond our control (a Force Majeure Event).
Where a Force Majeure Event prevents the kit from arriving in time for your Event, we will work with you in good faith to identify the best outcome, including reschedule, partial refund, or full refund in accordance with the Terms of Service.
10. Insurance
Australia Post Express Post includes limited compensation cover for loss or damage in transit, as set out in their terms of carriage. Where a shipping incident is covered by Australia Post compensation, we will manage any claim with Australia Post directly. You do not need to lodge a claim yourself.
We recommend that you do not arrange separate insurance for the kit during the rental period, as title and risk are addressed in this Policy and the Rental Agreement.
11. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds and cancellations are governed by clause 5 of our Terms of Service. Please refer to that clause for the full details, including timeframes, applicable fees, and rescheduling options.
12. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If we are found liable for failure to comply with a consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, our liability for that failure is limited (at our option) to:
- The supply of the Service again, or
- The payment of the cost of having the Service supplied again
13. Disputes
If you have a concern about shipping, return, or delivery of your kit or film, please contact us first at luke@flipscreenstudio.com and we will work with you in good faith to resolve it.
If you are not satisfied with our response, the dispute resolution provisions of our Terms of Service apply.
14. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version, with the date of last update, will always be available on the Site. Changes apply only to Bookings placed after the date of update.
